Fitness-to-Exercise Medical Report in Turkey: Gym, Diving and Sports Camps
Gyms, diving schools and sports camps sometimes ask for a doctor’s report saying you are fit for sport. Here is how it works and what the doctor checks.
A fitness-to-exercise report, sometimes called a sports medical certificate, states that a doctor has examined you and found no medical reason that stops you from taking part in a particular activity. Gyms, diving schools, marathons, sports camps and schools may request one.
What the Doctor Checks
The doctor takes your medical history, including heart or lung problems, fainting, chest pain on exertion, asthma, epilepsy, medicines you take and any family history of sudden cardiac death. They measure blood pressure and pulse, listen to the heart and lungs and look at your general health. For some activities, an ECG or other tests are advised, and these need an in-person visit.
Which Activities Need More
Recreational gym use is usually straightforward. Scuba diving, competitive sport, endurance events and sports at altitude may need extra tests, and diving schools often use their own medical questionnaire and require a doctor to sign it. Send us the form in advance.
Official Sports Licences
Official athlete licences and federation competitions can require a specific form or an examination at an authorised institution. Check the requirements first, and tell us what you need.
How to Request
Message us on WhatsApp or request a visit, say what activity the report is for and send any form you must complete. The doctor will tell you whether it can be done remotely, and arrange an examination or tests if needed. The report can be issued in English.
